In a new report, it is claimed that the beloved ‘VARIA,’ alias Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, will not be returning for ‘Dulhania 3.’ Varun and Alia were seen in the blockbuster films ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania.’ However, it is said that Alia won’t be returning to the franchise, and Dharma Productions has already roped in a new star. According to rumours, Janhvi Kapoor might replace Alia in the third film.
A source informed PeepingMoon.com that Janhvi will be the new ‘Dulhania’ in the franchise. Although it’s not clear why Alia is not returning to the hit franchise, it’s possible that her busy schedule in 2024 clashes with the plans for ‘Dulhania 3.’ If the report is true, Varun and Janhvi will be seen together again after the controversy last year.
The report mentions that Shashank Khaitan is also directing ‘Dulhania 3.’ “Dulhania 3 will have a different storyline and characters, not connected in any way to the previous parts, much like the perspective adopted in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania.’ Pre-production of the film has started, and shooting is expected to begin in the next few months. Dharma Productions and Karan Johar have not commented on the report yet.

Interestingly, this report comes just a few hours after news that Janhvi has a big project, and she is not allowed to talk about it. Karan hinted at this in a recent episode of ‘Koffee with Karan 8.’
This year, Varun and Janhvi have several films. While Varun is busy with the remake of Theri alongside Atlee and will be seen in ‘Citadel India’ with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Janhvi has films with Siddharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff. This is her debut film in the Telugu film industry.
